Day 1 Theme

Day1-The30DaySobrietySolution-150

The 100% Solution outlined the fundamentals of The 30-Day Sobriety Solution, including the absolute basics that you’ll need to know to get from where you are to where you want to be in just 30 days. You also learned how to gain lasting leverage to finally thrive in life and sobriety, whether your goal is to quit or cut back drinking, or to get re-inspired in your recovery.

A Special Welcome from Jack & Dave

Congratulations on getting started! We want to take this opportunity to welcome you to your companion website. We hope you find this to be an easy-to-use and valuable resource to support you along your journey. In case you came right to Day 1 and missed the dashboard, be sure to notice the link towards the top of today (and in the main navigation menu) to access it. The dashboard is your best resource for finding all the different resources offered on this website, including a video walkthrough of the site, and other support and training resources.

Last, we want to remind you that this is not a replacement for the book. If you are trying to do the program without reading the book you will find this resource incomplete and even confusing at times. So if you haven’t bought the book already, be sure to do so now HERE.

If you have any feedback as you go through the program we would love to hear from you. You should see a small feedback button in the lower right corner of every page unless you are on mobile. We couldn’t think of a better cartoon to share as you start your new journey. See you on the other side!

30-Day Reboot

30DayReboot

In just 30 days, you can actually create new neural connections in your brain that facilitate making amazing changes in a short period. The key to successfully “rebooting” is to commit to abstain from all alcohol for 30 days, which gives yourself time to replace your drinking habit with new positive habits. Your 30-Day Reboot should ideally be started within a week of starting the program.

The Myth of 'Rock Bottom'

The only difference between you and a “normal drinker” is your idea of rock bottom. Decide today that you have hit your rock bottom and you can change your story around your drinking.

The Fear of Failure

At this stage, being afraid to cut back or quit drinking is completely normal. Positive change comes from working at the edge of your comfort zone. If it was easy, you would have made the change years ago.

Why You Drink

Drinking is not the problem; rather, drinking is the symptomatic behavior. The reasons you drink lie elsewhere. This program is specifically designed to help you uncover and address YOUR reasons, finally freeing you to live the life you have dreamed.

The Heart of The 30-Day Sobriety Solution

Heartof30DaySobrietySolution2

Everything comes down to taking action, which specifically means completing the action steps included with each solution. Many of these are exercises that must be completed in writing to receive the full benefit and value. Or to put it another way, just thinking about your answer will NOT work.

Journal solutions like Microsoft and Google might be preferable because they allow you to connect an email address and calendar to the same account you are using for your journal document. This can offer additional value throughout the program because at times we recommend setting calendar reminders for specific exercises.

Google Drive is a free way to keep any files backed up, and specifically you can create and use Google Docs from any computer, which is why this online document solution is perfect for journaling. It can also be accessed from any browser and there are apps for iOS (Apple) and Android devices. The documents are protected by your login, and can easily be shared with others if you are interested. You can sign up HERE.

Microsoft OneNote is a very robust free solution that works on tablets, phones and computers, and has recently become one of my favorite all around solutions. It is great for journaling, but better yet it is a fantastic resource for storing and accessing a lot of data easily. Your data is also protected by your account, and you can create additional security by password protecting pages and sections. You can signup HERE.

Microsoft OneDrive is a free online solution that works on tablets, phones and computers, and is very similar to Google Drive. With this free account you can create and edit word documents, including OneNote documents mentioned above. It is also protected by the account you sign up with. You can signup HERE.

There are countless solutions that can be used for online journaling, so we have created a discussion thread in the forum where you can share your favorite solution. You can see that thread right HERE, or go to The Community Forum.

We know that some of you are understandably very concerned about keeping your journal private, so we have posted some additional tips in the daily forum that you might find helpful. You can see that thread right HERE, or go to The Community Forum. We encourage you to reply to this thread with your insights or ideas.
