5 months ago I posted that I slipped and was trying to get back up. Well, it took 5 months, but I’m 14 days in tomorrow. Feeling proud, scared, ready to beat this again. I’m not following the book so much as I did last time. Getting some help with a counselor and have been to 3 AA meetings. I know it’s not for everyone, in fact, having a hard time believing it’s for me. But I’m not waking up in the morning trying to remember how I got myself to bed or swearing the day will go differently. I feel strong. Please, please, may this last.

suesuesudio . . . best of it to you. It’s a personal solution that we each must find. It’s great to share, feel support, etc., but, in the end, it seems to me it is all about making peace with our inner critic, or whatever it is we consider that “thing” that drives us to destruction. Hey, if blowing up balloons, or painting, or feeding pigeons down at the park works to keep us on a more healthy pathway, go for it.
