Day 7 sober today for me- so happy I made it through the weekend!

What is most motivating for me, honestly, is recalling the pains of drinking and the joys of being sober.

To set the record straight, when the thought comes ‘wouldn’t it be nice? It’s such a nice summer day, go have a barbecue and get some beers..’. Well, no, actually it wasn’t nice. It made me feel sick. Fat. Grumpy. Cynic. Stupid. Driving drunk to get more liquor. Waking up hating what I did the night befoe. Shame and guilt. Not so nice, really.

Sleep is getting better, slowly, and I’m starting to get 2-3 hour chunks of solid sleep in.

Fatigue is setting in however. In the afternoons especially. I feel great in the mornings, so happy that I’m sober. I can experience joy to be alive again. But later in the day I get tired.

To keep my motivation up, I am going to do the guided ‘before and after you’ again and then come back to the day 4 forgiveness tomorrow.

Who is there with me on this journey?

PS I see the spammers are getting more intelligent and sort of half-ass replying to something on topic but then somehow crapping out on the grammar. That tells me that somehow they are reading and understanding this at least on the surface. Are they feeling ashamed and guilty? Probably. I’m sorry about that.

    Hi All,

feel a bit silly replying to my own post but maybe someone reads it and maybe even get something out of it.

I’m on day 7 sober now (yay!) which is pretty much unbelievable for me. I am on day 4, did the forgiveness solution with one person. I want to do it with myself tomorrow. Also I really want to do the before- and new-me guided videos again just to shore up some much needed motivation.

By the way did you guys notice that there are three guided videos for before- and new-me? reference below.

Still difficult sleeping, although it is slowly getting better. Tired but also getting clear in my head and have more energy in the mornings.

Hope to see someone around here… (not you scammers and spammers, nobody likes you)
