I think this was a helpful chapter–one I will need to revisit a few time, I’m sure–as I definitely have many fears in my life that get in the way of my experiencing a more fulfilling, happy life. However, I feel like the emphasis was on “fear” rather than on “courage” as the title notes. It felt as if I was weighed down by all the talk about fear and not as encouraged (interesting how the word “encouraged” includes the very word “courage” that is the topic for this chapter!). I just noticed this. Anyway, I don’t want to come across as critical, but this was just a personal observation.

I can relate blueberrygal. I don’t think it’s that I have so many fears necessarily, it’s that I don’t like how I feel and this mindset I have taken on. I need to get back to living my life very healthy consciously like I used to so I can feel like myself again. Everything in this program is getting me back on track with that so things are going in the right direction.

My fears are much more about where I would be if I continued drinking the way I was at times. I also see that alcohol, even a little, does not have any good effects on me other than that first drink. From then on it just seems to derail me from what is actually good for me.
