This was definitely the best part of today’s action steps. Putting myself a year in the future and writing about all of the exciting things I accomplished being sober. Feeling my vision statement come to fruition, living my smart goals and celebrating life along the way. I picture getting sober and staying sober like climbing a mountain…the work to get there is difficult and you can’t take your mind off the work necessary to make it happen or you will fall. I don’t know if you ever reach the top, but the incline becomes less and less until it is manageable. It’s been 20 days since I had my last drink, I never thought that I would say that. My dream is that a year from now, I can look back at the struggle and be proud that I never took my eye off the prize and finally made it to the point where this levels out. I’m grateful for the support from my wife, daughter, mother and all of you who have been involved along this part of the journey. Another step forward.

Wow. That is great. I have not yet reached the “top “, There is no top, Beware when the Pink Cloud phase ends, prepare for courage and more courage when you need it. It’s a Journey, never a destination! Onward, Sina

brighterdays . . . congrats on your steady progress and ongoing success. Each day can feel like its own prize. But it sure will be something a year on looking back.

    Best to you!
